Why high school lacrosse players should attend college camps
Camps and ID clinics are the highest-leverage thing a high school recruit can do for their college lacrosse career. They put you face-to-face with college coaches in a real evaluation setting — stick skills, lacrosse IQ, athleticism, and how you communicate on the field, all in one afternoon. Highlight reels open the door; camps are where you walk through it.
Underclassmen (freshmen and sophomores) should target prospect days at programs they're seriously interested in to build coach relationships early. Juniors and seniors benefit most from multi-school camps where 10+ college programs evaluate at the same event — an efficient way to see and be seen across D1, D2, D3, and NAIA. Walk in with a target list, a question or two for each coach, and a clear sense of your academic profile.
